You wouldn't think it, but some policies do. I've seen it happen twice. A young guy that I worked with took his life and his $50K policy paid. My fiance's ex shot himself last summer, but had not changed his beneficiary. She collected $100k. My personal policy will pay, but it had to be in effect for a year I think before it would cover suicide.

Go figure.
